About Linda N. Masi
Author
Linda N. Masi is the author of Fine Dreams, winner of the Juniper Prize for fiction (selected by Robin McLean, author of Pity the Beast), winner of the Indies Foreword Silver Award for Multicultural Adult Fiction, a finalist in the International Book Awards for Best New Fiction and longlisted for the NLNG (Nigeria Prize for Literature) – Prose Fiction.
Her work has appeared in Locomotive, Tupelo Quarterly, Blackberry: A Magazine and elsewhere. Some of her other works have been anthologized in Songai 12 (in honor of the Port Harcourt - UNESCO World Book Capital Program), Nothing to See Here (edited by Hilda Twongyeirwe), and The Beggar’s Story and other Stories (edited by Elechi Amadi). Masi is the author of a children’s book series, The Necklace of Relur: Kagim Chronicles (Volume 1 and 2, Lantern Books, 2018), a poetry book, The Talking Drum Hums, and a play, The Price of Peace.
Originally from Nigeria, Masi holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Mississippi, and a PhD in English (creative writing focus) from Texas Tech University. She is currently at work on her second novel, a historical fiction saga.
